Colorless or light yellow oily liquid, with pyridine odor, scorched and spicy, volatile and moisture-absorbing, and darkens when exposed to light or air. Bp247 ℃ (decomposition), relative density (d20D)1.0097, specific rotation [α]20D-169, refractive index (n20D)1.5282, flash point 101 ℃. Soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and petroleum ether. Highly toxic, LD50 (rat, oral) 50mg/kg. Avoid inhalation of vapors, contact with the skin and entry into the mouth. |
